Talk by Masters: Chinese Jade Culture

Speaker: Zhimin Che, Vice Chairman of Gems & Jewelry Trade Association of China, Doctorial Advisor at Tourism and Culture College of Yunnan University

Abstract: this lecture will give audience a detailed overview of the history of Chinese jade culture, the relations between jade and Chinese culture, and the import role jade plays in Chinese people’s lives. The speaker will also discuss jade appraisal and jade collection.

Speaker: Qihong Mu, Professor of Chinese Literature at Yunnan University, Expert at Chinese Tea Culture

Abstract: this lecture focuses on the origin of Chinese Puer Tea and the development of Chinese tea culture. As an expert on Chinese literature and the Tea Horse Road, the speaker will talk about the embodiment of tea culture in Chinese literature and the spread of Chinese tea culture overseas.
